SUMMARY:Restorative Practices and Active Bystander Approaches - aka the missing link (P) (PP) (EY)
DESCRIPTION:Learn in this webinar about the wonderful addition to your school climate that Active Bystander approaches can bring. There isn’t always an opportunity (or even a need) to ask “what happened?” Sometimes we need another lens\, sometimes we need to look beyond the “victim” and the “offender” to the untapped resource that is the rest of our community. Active Bystander approaches can intervene in harm in a number of subtle ways\, but it’s much more than that as Graham Goulden will explain. If you like Restorative Practices and what it can do\, then you will love this. \nSpeakers – Joe Power & Graham Goulden \n \nJoe Power is an independent RP trainer/facilitator and a Quality Specialist with CDI Tallaght. He was previously RP Development Officer for Limerick (2018-2023) and has worked with dozens of schools\, both primary and secondary from one off Croke Park sessions to whole school implementation. He also employs the values and skills of RP in his own life. \n \nGraham Goulden is a much sought after international speaker\, leadership and violence prevention trainer. For thirty years he was a Scottish police officer\, with the last eight years spent as a key member of the Scottish Violence Reduction Unit. Graham is a passionate advocate of the bystander approach to help develop personal and organisational leadership to help create safe and supportive schools\, workplaces\, and performance teams. He also writes a must-read weekly blog through his social media accounts. \n\n\n\nCourse Properties\n\n\n\nCourse date\n15-09-2026 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm\n\n\nCapacity\n500\n\n\nFee\nFree\n\n\nTutor – Speaker\nJoe Power & Graham Goulden\n\n\nSelect Hours\n1
